Sandcays did the surveys and EIA for the proposed seagrass removal and beach enhancement project at Club Med Kanifinolhu in mid 2012. Following the EIA for the project, the Client requested Sandcays if it could undertake the civil components of the project too. Sandcays agreed and did the project at a very low cost and to the satisfaction of the Client. The entire seagrass bed comprising over 95,000m2 area of seagrass was cleared and no seagrass have been seen even after 4 years when seagrass slowly started to emerge in spots. This was the first coastal turnkey project following which Sandcays slowly undertook other similar projects on the request of its Clients.
